Well, lately, my blog has had a sudden rise in the page view graph and after the summer vacation, that is justified. While this rise has brought the page view graph to a higher level, I fear that it will drop and it is this fear that empowers me to reach my 50th post! While this blog has acted as a medium to use unproductive time productively, it has also supposedly increased my social presence! I meet a lot of people who identify me with this blog, some do make up an amazing perspective of mine just because I am an author of a 'blog'. In fact, some people whom I have met in an MUN, visited this blog by mere coincidence and got in touch with me through my mailbox.
I still remember, I was practising for a play for my annual function, when one of the faculties at my school asked for my name! I said clearly, boldly, sounding as impressive as I could,"Abhimanyu Sethia!" he thought for a moment, pondered further, mulling over something, said, "I think I have read your blog." I was glad. Since my first interface then with sir, it has turned over to a daily 'namaste' nowadays and on extremes we even have a "how-are-you". But the point is the public interest the blog has earned has earned me even more of it!
A second instance, I was recently back to routine from an MUN ( a two or three day long learning fest) .I had met a lot of people, I had made a lot of friends in the MUN. About three or four days after I was back to routine, I got a mail. I gradually discovered, that was my recently made friend from the MUN. It is always very satisfying, pleasing and amusing to know a lot of people and I felt the joy of knowing someone from the real world that is apart from my school, residence and nearby. I asked her, from where did she get my email address and she replied from my 'blog.'
What make me write blogs frequently, is not my natural inclination or precisely, propensity but this is an extraordinary kind fondness, predilection, inclination, willingness, disposition, proclivity and penchant which has arose and enslaves me to write something alluring, amusing, attractive, compelling, delightful, readable, provocative,engaging, interesting, pleasing, refreshing, striking, absorbing, thought provoking and fascinative! It has been an enthralling experience throughout these 50 posts. Addiction to this simple, not-so-famous and active blog has made me write more and more but with my weekly review approaching and with my mom fearing a loss of marks in exchange of a profit in page views, I sit here, in front of an LED- screen, somewhat unreasonably!
