Why Do we Say "Cheers" ?- Interesting Read

After a long time something caught my attention and I thought I should share this with you. When we drink soft drinks or any kind of drinks, we say "cheers." Have you ever thought why do we say that? Though there is no particular reason discovered till now, but you always have predictions. Two of the very interesting, logical and real predictions which I came across recently are down here-

  • The Five Senses- We all know that we have five senses and sense organs that is eye, ear, mouth, skin and nose. We drink drinks to celebrate. When we drink , we can enjoy the drink and take its delight by smelling, tasting, feeling or seeing. However we can not take its "आनंद" by hearing. We say "cheers" so that we can enjoy the drink by its to its maximum limit
  •  World War 1- During the time of World War 1, the world was infected with terrorism and no one could be trusted. Therefore, whenever two people drunk wine or some other drink, They used to fill it to its brim and then they would say cheers and gently touch each other's glass. This touch mixed each-other's drink and so if one had mixed some poisonous into another one's drink, both would die together. There ends the story of the invention of this word- "cheers"

What is Dramatics, Theater, Acting? - The Story of Heath Ledger

Firstly I would like to ask-What is acting? The answer which most people give is making faces according to the scene and boldly saying dialogues in front of the camera. When I ask people," why is a successful actor, successful?" They say," because he can express. He can bring the needed expressions on his face." However, they don't realise that acting or theatrics is not all about speaking dialogues with expressions. Its about our day-to-day life. Its about observation. Its about passion and dedication. Its about feeling the character. Its about imagination, creativity. For acting well you have to alter your mental status, social status, economical status and physical status or imagine it has been altered. You need to get galvanized with your character and imagine if it were you. And if you can do all that, then no one can stop you from being a perfect actor. When we see a movie its not just about our entertainment but we need to realise the hard work and time invested to make a 2 hour movie. Some successful examples are there and behind every blockbuster movie is the success secret.
One of the greatest example is Heath Ledger, the person who played "joker"in the movie "Dark Knight Rises." He won Oscar for the role for which he deserved much more. To alter his mental status he pretty well locked himself up in a hotel room for weeks. He didn't met anyone. He galvanized the upcoming character. He spoiled his mental condition. That was typical of heath. He liked to dive into his characters, but this time he really took it up a notch. He immersed himself in the upcoming character on every level level. Just because of his spoiled mental condition he commited a suicide!!While Heath's death was ruled accidental the diary does reveal he was struggling with the deeply twisted role and his own emotions. The Dark Knight was released nearly six months after his death.Prior to his death he spoke to Empire Magazine saying he 'feared' the role but wanted to make it different. He said,"I sat around in a hotel room in London for about a month, locked myself away, formed a little diary and experimented with voices - it was important to try to find a somewhat iconic voice and laugh.I ended up landing more in the realm of a psychopath - someone with very little to no conscience towards his acts." Now what could be better than to sacrifice your life just for attaining success. Another example is Aamir Khan.
For making his mind blowing physique in the blockbuster-Ghazini, he survived only on eggs for months and exercised day and night just for a single scene. Today, he is the most famous actor in Bollywood, still he practices for hours and days and months to do a single scene. He practiced for 3 months in Spain to learn tap dance. Irfaan Khan spent 6 months in Rajasthan to learn the language spoken there for his movie Paan Singh Tomar. Now after reading all this I am sure you understand what is acting and how difficult it is. Next time you go to see a movie just identify the hard work, time, dedication, money was spent in the making of the movie!!!!
